Virtual Interpreting
Remote interpreting in which the interpreter is not physically located in the same space as the speaker. It does not require the displacement of the interpreter as the interpretation can be delivered from his/her office/home. According to the client ‘s need, the interpretation can be consecutive (interpreting with pauses) or simultaneous (interpretation at the same time).

Two interpreters are needed and they take it in turns in intervals of approximately 20-30 minutes each.

Currently, there are different programs designed to conduct this process such as: Interprefy, Kudos, Interactio. During this pandemic, ZOOM has been the most common one as it offers an interphase to use simultaneous interpreting.
